Possibly the best part of one of the best second sets the band has ever played. If you want to hear what fall'97 was all about, give this one a listen. Hell, while you're at it just listen to the whole show

Weird funkiness transformed into major mode blissfest. The final minutes build on an extended theme that includes some of Trey's most cohesive playing of the summer. Also, the Caspian that follows is top notch.

Do not sleep on this 30+ min version! Funk #49 teases, typical '00 space funk -> shredding -> ambience with Trey on keys and a hypnotic groove by Mike -> buildup to an INSANE peak similar to Osaka Ghost. This Japan run is filled with odd journeys like this and this one is a multisection masterpiece.

This is pound for pound one of the best tweezers Ive set ears on 3.0 IMO. I was at Tahoe which was a great experience but this for me is purer funkier dirtier just the way I like it. 20 minutes no gimmicks just pure... some minimal, some chunk, all nasty. Have a listen, let me know what you think

As far as 3.0 Tweezer's go, this is a gem. Packs a monster punch in 13 minutes. Great example of Trey crushing the whale. You can literally hear Trey circling the whales 1 by 1. Subtle chirping at 5 min mark. Into a slow build to the whale calls of summer 2012: 10:30 mark to the finish line.

Has all you could want from a late 90s Tweezer. Mike is bouncing around in the start of the jam, riffing on The Way I Feel (see 7/15/98 LivePhish soundcheck) for an incredibly funky vibe. Trey steals the show at the end in a thrilling shredfest, however.

This one may never be top 5, but deserves mention due to sleeper status. Only the 9th show of 3.0. Seamless loop work from Trey, to the point where it sounds like two guitars onstage. Sweet Emotion-y groove turns into a rugged Neil Young-style axe workout, and a tremendous peak. Don't miss it.
