Trey truly becomes a jedi here. It sounds as if he's playing two guitars when he peaks at the end. The jam is perfect. You couldn't rehearse this and try and sound this good.

Off A Live One. Still to this day the greatest song I have ever heard, and it's the reason why I started playing guitar

Beautiful version. The sublime tenderness builds to an epic feel good moment. I'm starting to think this may be the greatest 2 set Phish show on record. Hmmm...

Can't believe this isn't on here yet. One of the most underrated versions and my favourite. Delicate and patient to start, peaks beautifully and ends in an eruption of fireworks. The cap (Amazing Grace, notwithstanding) of a truly amazing night in Phish History.

THE Note! Trey holds a single note during the peak for 3 solid minutes. Great intro with Leigh Fordham replacing Harry Hood. Run, don't walk, to listen to this version

Amazing and overlooked version from summer '97. Mike briefly dips into this beautiful minor-key section which is reprised just before the peak.... stunning and evocative Hood. Avoid at your own risk!

Nice one. I like Trey's sustained notes and shredding in the last few minutes of the jam. Probably goes unnoticed due to other highlights in this set.

The "other" Florida Hood. Amazing balance of dissonance and beauty. The ending has the same amazing peak found in 10/23, but the path to get there is much more exciting.

This Hood is one of my favorites. I have an old audience recording that brings me right there. The beginning of the jam has a really patient build and one of the notes that Trey plays is just butter. Then the peak is right there with other classic versions.

The 2nd night of Great Woods, 1st night was Gamehenge. I have seen Harry Hood 42 times throughout the years, and this is by far the best jam of them all. The level of collective listening and interaction is tremendous, and just when you think it couldn't get any more euphoric, it does. Stellar.

One of my favorite versions of Harry Hood. It is mellow, noodley, raw and builds to passion and complexity! The ending of this song is my religion, it moves me and makes me weep and understand that which I can not! This version also makes me write nonsense in a stream of consciousness!
